Noah Maverick | Birth Journey

My first Florida birth.

I'm so excited to be sharing this mama and her baby's story with you all.

I arrived at the hospital with Abby's mom roughly around 10 pm. Abby had been at 2 cm for quite a while, so she made the decision to be induced. She had already received one pill to help soften her cervix before I arrived, and then roughly two hours later she received a second dose. This is when things began to progress...Little Noah was now on his way....

Abby's back labor became really intense, and she opted for the epidural. After this, it was a waiting game once again. She began contracting regularly, and with her birth team by her side for reassurance, she labored on through the night....

The nurses began paging for Abigail's OB, and shortly thereafter she was ready to push. Everything was set up, and ready to go, for the arrival of Noah. Abigail was so strong, and with only 4 short pushes, Noah, her rainbow boy took his first breathe earth side. These moments always bring me such joy to capture. The emotions in the room are always so raw, and real.

The moments that always come next are always an adrenaline rush for me. Once baby is here, and checked over the excitement in the room is simply tangible. Little Noah was born at 5:03 am, 7 pounds 14 ounces, and 19 3/4 inches long. And healthy as could be. I am always so humbled, and truly grateful when I am asked to capture such special moment's in my clients lives. Especially when it comes to something as amazing as them giving birth.

The following are photos of Noah's first 48 hours on this earth with his mama, daddy, and grandma....

Thank you so much again to Abigail, and her family to allowing me to capture such a beautiful part of your life. I hope all of you have truly enjoyed my first birth story here in Florida, and I'm looking forward to capturing many more in the future.
